We believe banking should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or circumstance. Accessibility isn't a feature β it's a fundamental part of how we build.
Our commitment
Velovance is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as our target standard. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort, reviewed with every feature we ship.
Accessibility features included
Light & dark themes
Choose between light and dark color schemes for visual comfort. The theme respects your system preferences by default.
Keyboard navigation
All forms, menus, and interactive elements are fully navigable using keyboard only. Use Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and arrow keys to move through the interface.
Semantic HTML & ARIA
Proper heading hierarchy, descriptive link text, form labels, and ARIA landmarks help screen readers navigate our content effectively.
High contrast & color
All text meets WCAG contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text). We never rely on color alone to convey information.
Responsive design
Our interface works across all screen sizes and device types. Content reflows appropriately when zoomed up to 200%.
Screen reader compatible
We test with popular screen readers including NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack to ensure content is announced clearly.
WCAG 2.1 compliance status
We maintain AA compliance across all core features. Some AAA criteria (such as sign language interpretation) are not yet supported.
Known limitations & work in progress
We're transparent about areas where we're still improving:
- Some charts and data visualizations may not yet have full screen reader descriptions
- Live animations can be paused, but motion sensitivity preferences aren't yet fully implemented
- Some older content may not have complete ARIA labels (we're auditing and fixing)
- Mobile gesture alternatives for drag-and-drop interactions are being added
We publish regular accessibility audits and track improvements in our public roadmap.

Our testing approach
We combine automated testing (axe-core, Lighthouse) with manual testing using screen readers and keyboard-only navigation. Accessibility is reviewed in every pull request.
User testing
We periodically conduct usability testing with people who use assistive technologies. Their feedback directly shapes our priorities.
Report an accessibility issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier while using Velovance, please let us know. We take all accessibility concerns seriously and will respond within 2 business days.
For security-sensitive accessibility issues, please email us directly. We aim to acknowledge all reports within 48 hours.
